Bronze-Skills & Education award in Dog grooming-5 days

The qualification is designed for Candidates who wish to gain the skills and knowledge to prepare a variety of dog breeds and understand health and safety in a dog grooming salon. The course is delivered over 5 days practical training with additional theory to be completed at home. It is the equivalent of the City and Guild Level 2.

Over the 5 days at one of our Training Providers, candidates will groom at least 3 dogs to include a minimum of 2 different breeds, covering 2 different coat types.  There are no pre-requisites to starting the qualification, meaning candidates can join at level without having completed a lower level first. 

Candidates will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, drying, sanitary, handling, safety, equipment and nail trimming on several dog breeds.

Uniquely, candidates are continually assessed via practical demonstration and coursework. There is no requirement to sit a formal exam in order to achieve the qualification. This holistic approach has been welcomed by candidates to our Training Provider from across the UK, Ireland and Internationally. iPET Network designed the qualification to have an excellent balance of theoretical and practical learning. Feedback suggests that this qualification takes the pressure out of adult learning and this approach appeals to a wide range of Candidates. The Skills and education Level 3 Award in an Introduction to Dog Grooming will demonstrate to an employer or the general public that Candidates have a basic understanding of dog grooming principles.  Candidates will leave with a basic knowledge base to continue learning or working in the Dog Grooming Industry. It has been designed specifically for those looking to start the journey into Dog Grooming .

it is a great way to start learning the basics and gives the opportunity to go onto an assistant stylist role or continue onto the 30 day level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. It also allows those who aren’t to sure if grooming is roughy for them to try a short course before investing in the level 3 Diploma.
