Platinum- SEG level 3 diploma in dog grooming - 35 days

The Skills and Education Group Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming is a nationally recognised, regulated by Ofqual. It is also your route to becoming a Fully Qualified Dog Groomer and enables you to start your own dog grooming business Or walk into work as a fully qualified Grooming position. 

The course is delivered over 35 days of practical training with the theory assignments to be completed at home, covering all aspects of dog grooming.
Candidates will groom a minimum of 35 dogs to include at least 10 different breeds, covering at least 6 different coat types.  There are no pre qualifications needed to starting the course, meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first which can be a huge cost saving to students. 

Students will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring,hand stripping, clipping  of a variety of breeds such as Cockapoos, BIchons, Spaniels, Shihtzu, and nail trimming.

This course covers all the below topics:

Students will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping  of a variety of breeds such as Cockapoos, BIchons, Span, Shihtzu, and nail trimming- including tools for the job, management of dogs visiting the salon, pre-bath health checks and recognising and handling health problems, correct handling of dogs in the bath and on the table, hand bathing methods, choosing the correct products for different coats, ear cleansing & nail clipping, drying and brushing methods of different coat types, coat clipping and using attachment comb, scissoring of a variety of breeds, parasite control, practical experience grooming a variety of breeds, choosing the best cut for your canine client, breed standard styling, corrective grooming techniques, dealing with matted coats., First aid .

The assessment method is by Practical demonstrations and workbook completion there is no exam. You will complete 3 practical grooming assessments under supervision. The Assessment being via demonstration and Theory coursework means you don’t have to sit a daunting exam in order to achieve the qualification. (Theory completed at home) 

No previous grooming experience is needed for this course , although having handled dogs will give you an advantage. We offer free* taster days if you are unsure if this course is suitable for you. 

The price for this course is £5500 incl Vat for 35 days practical 

The course can be completed from 1-5 days per week, we are flexible.  We run on a Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Friday and even a Saturday! Starting at 8.30-2.30 pm on a weekday and 8-2 on a Saturday.

We offer payment plans for both courses - we use GO Cardless and after the deposit is paid the remaining amount is spread over the duration you are attending the course, this payment is monthly. So if you did 3 days a week it would be more a month , but over less months than if you did 1 day a week this would be spread over 8 months (Diploma).

We offer the Level 3 Diploma with Skills & Education group , we can also run then AIM or iPET NEWORK* version of the qualification.  Our default course is the Skills and Education level 3 Diploma but if you’d rather the other 2 qualification suppliers then please specify on enquiry.
